Blinds in Illovo
Low-rise apartments and established homes on the Rosebank side, often with older steel-framed openings.
Illovo sits between Rosebank and Sandton and keeps a good deal of its older housing stock, which means steel-framed windows, deep reveals and the occasional opening that is not quite square. None of that is a problem, but it does mean the measure matters more than usual — a made-to-order blind is only as good as the dimensions it was made from.
A lot of our Illovo work is replacement and repair rather than a full fit-out: restringing timber venetians, replacing perished cords on north-facing windows, and re-fitting blinds that came down for a repaint.
Where a full replacement makes sense, the older window proportions suit venetians and rollers with a slim cassette, keeping the reveal shadow line rather than swamping it.
Illovo sits inside our core service area, so it is the same consultant-led measure, the same made-to-order manufacture and the same installation team we bring to Sandhurst itself. The measure is free either way.

What the light does here, and what we would fit where
Illovo's older steel-framed openings and its apartment blocks ask different questions of the same sun. The Papers walk each elevation in turn and give the reasoning behind every product we would fit — including where a tilting slat beats a roller, and where it does not.
